Linda’s wealth of experience, extensive background, and teaching style make Linda an immense asset to the breastfeeding community and an ideal lecturer. She has done and continues to do work at all levels in many key breastfeeding organizations and groups: as a lactation consultant in private practice, a founding member of International Lactation Consultant Association (ILCA) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), a La Leche League leader, a council member of the Coalition to Improve Maternity Services, an author of numerous publications about lactation management and birth & breastfeeding, a key figure in US breastfeeding policy development, and a “supporter to those that support breastfeeding” through her Bright Future Lactation Resource Centre, Ltd.

Elisabeth Sterken MSc, BSc, Dt.

Elisabeth Sterken is a professional nutritionist and consumer advocate on behalf of mothers and children specializing in infant and young child feeding. She has been actively working on the protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding in a number of ways both in her home country, Canada, and internationally for over 25 years. As the Director of INFACT Canada/IBFAN North America, she is a frequent presenter at both national and international professional breastfeeding conferences; has organized numerous trainings in infant and young child feeding and the International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes. Elisabeth has organized and presented the 20-hour Breastfeeding Course across Canada, from the Maritimes to the Arctic and from the Prairies to Southern Ontario for over 12 years.
